FAQ — Ali Karamali
Answers about DevOps focus, OpenStack, Ceph, Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, and how to get in touch.
What kind of DevOps and cloud work do you focus on?
I design, automate, and operate production infrastructure—especially private cloud with OpenStack, distributed storage with Ceph, Kubernetes workloads, and delivery pipelines with Terraform, Ansible, GitLab CI, and Jenkins.
Do you have hands-on OpenStack experience?
Yes. Recent work includes multi-node OpenStack platforms covering compute, Neutron/OVN networking, identity, storage backends, and operational recovery patterns for production tenancy.
What about Ceph storage?
I have operated Ceph clusters for block (RBD), shared file (CephFS), and S3-compatible object (RGW) workloads backing private-cloud environments.
Do you work with Kubernetes?
Yes. Kubernetes is part of the platform stack alongside Docker-based delivery, used for workloads that need orchestrated scheduling on top of the private-cloud foundation.
How do you use Terraform and Ansible?
Terraform and Ansible are used for Infrastructure as Code—provisioning and configuration so environments stay reviewable, repeatable, and recoverable across environments.
Are you open to remote or international roles?
Yes. I am open to remote collaboration, project-based work, and international relocation discussions. Sponsorship requirements are noted on the contact materials.
How can I contact you?
